We proudly offer you the following services, and so much more!
Beautiful Selection of Loose Diamonds & Gemstones
Are you looking to create a custom piece of jewelry? Maybe you have lost or cracked a stone in a piece of jewelry and need it replaced? We have an extensive list of vendors and service providers we have worked with for decades. We can order in a variety of stones for you to see. We can explore a variety of size, quality, color, and shapes…all of which can affect the price of the diamond or gemstone. We will work with you to meet your expectations, vision, and budget.
Custom Jewelry Design in Gold, Platinum, & Silver
We all have jewelry we don’t wear because we have too much or some pieces we do love their dated look. Especially those items that may have been passed down to you. We are glad to work with you on redesigning and repurposing your jewelry. We can take a loose stone and create a new piece of jewelry incorporating it. We can recreate the exact same piece in a different metal. We can even take multiple stones or multiple pieces of jewelry and incorporate them all into one piece. Often times young men are gifted a loose stone or ring by a relative with which they wish to create something new for their soon-to-be-bride. We love working with you to create a piece that is one-of-a-kind and perfect for the one you love.
Jewelry Repair & Resizing
When you bring in your broken or damaged jewelry for repair, we are happy to visit with you on the estimated cost to repair and discuss if it’s worth fixing based on its sentimental value or worth. Our bench jeweler Daniel Archibeque has decades of experience designing and repairing jewelry.
Engraving & Hand-Engraving
We offer engraving services in house as well as third party engraving services. We can offer traditional engraving on items purchased from our store such as metal picture frames, serving trays, and jewelry. To engrave crystal pieces or have lazer engraving on stainless steel items, we use several contacts we have in Columbia and surrounding towns depending on the service and the turn-around time their schedule allows for in an effort to meet your deadline. We do have a contact for engraving on wood items mentioned below, and we also have a lady who can hand-engrave on metal items. This type of service is more expensive and most often depends on the type of gift you are giving, such as, if its price warrants hand-engraving, as well as age of the item, and if it is an heirloom gift you hope to remain in the family for generations to come. We also prefer to use our hand-engraver for personalizing fine jewelry such as wedding bands.
We offer jewelry appraisals at a cost of $75 per hour, with a minimum of one hour. Appraisals are most often used for insurance purposes. If you have jewelry or small items that you feel have value but do not need to have insured, many times we give a verbal replacement value for the item. We can advise you on the worth of what you have. This can be helpful when donating the item and you’d like to know the proper amount to use for your tax deduction. You may need the values of items you and your siblings are inheriting but splitting up, and so you want to try and do it as equally as possible. At times, people have items with more sentimental value than dollar value and are best to either keep, give to a loved one, or donate to a worthy cause such as Upscale Resale-An Assistance League of Mid-Missouri store. They are located at 1729 West Broadway, Suite 1A, Columbia, MO 65203.
Pearl & Bead Stringing
Do you have your grandmother’s pearl bracelet or necklace that is broken? Bring it in and we can give you an estimate on the cost to restring the piece. Sometimes it may not seem worth it if the jewelry is costume jewelry, but many times the sentimental value warrants the expense so that you can continue to enjoy the jewelry or pass it on to a family member. We can also re-string beaded jewelry that may break apart and if you have lost any beads we can do our best to obtain beads to match and add to your jewelry.
Silver Polishing & Repair
We offer polishing of your sterling candlesticks, teaset, flatware, and other fine dining or décor pieces. We can also spiff up your brass, copper, and silver-plated items. This service is provided at the cost of $35 per hour, and a minimum of one hour. If you wish for the pieces to be polished but then you plan to store them away and don’t plan to leave out all the time or only want to use for a certain holiday, we do sell silver keeper bags to store your items in to prevent tarnishing. We also do sell silver polishing supplies if you choose to polish or maintain cleaning yourself. If your items need repair we are happy to contact Hiles Plating in Kansas City and send your items to them to assess and give you an estimate for the repair.
Full Bridal Registry Department with Personal Assistance
Brides today are excited to register for new linens, décor, and kitchen necessities. But often times, they may not consider all the way they may want or need to entertain as the years go by and their families grow. They may be inheriting their mother or grandmother’s dishes, crystal, or silver flatware and they may plan to use them for formal occasions, or they may feel overwhelmed not knowing if they will use them or not knowing what some pieces may be used for if they have a full service flatware set rather than just 12 place settings. We enjoy helping educate a bride on how to use what she has, recommend how she can mix some of her traditional pieces with new items she may wish to register for now, as well as suggest things she may not have considered would be wise to register for. We carry stainless flatware and can always order sterling if requested, we carry fine crystal as well as every day, and find bone china as well as everyday stoneware. We love to work with brides that ask, “What do I do with that?”, “When would I use that?”, “How do I clean it and keep it from getting scratched?” Well we have the answers and love to help with the creativity of how a bride can use and enjoy what she has and make the most of it! Our brides will have a beautiful table decorated with their registry gift items on it, a name card and picture of the couple, as well as have their gift registry posted on our website. Your guests can stop in the store to shop the registry table or if they are out of town or out of state they can view the registry online and call us. We’d be happy to work with them to select the perfect gift for you, complete an enclosure card, and gift wrap beautifully. We offer hand delivery to weddings and showers in Columbia and near-by towns, and we offer shipping for wedding and shower gifts as well to arrive beautifully wrapped. Registries will receive placement in our local newspaper advertising they have a registry at our store. We also enjoy working with couples either individually or together to design custom engagement rings, and wedding bands. In addition, as the big day approaches, we work with couples to select hostess gifts for those who have bridal/couple’s showers, luncheons, etc, and attendee gifts for the wedding party members, officiate, family, and friends who all help with the big day.
We carry several furniture and upholstery lines that allow us to order in fabric for your furniture. We’d be happy to visit with you about a color palette or pattern you may be looking for and the detailing of your upholstery to help you update and bring a new life to your furniture and décor. We use Terwelp Upholstry in Columbia to recover your furniture or you may buy the fabric and use someone of your choosing.
Are you in need of sprucing up your living room? Do you need a picture or mirror hanged? Could your dated furniture feel brand new with custom upholstery? We’d be glad to assist you. Feel free to visit with us about your decorating needs. We will do our best to help, as well as recommend professionals we can vouch for to do the job for you as well! If you really only need help decorating your home for the holidays, we are also available for this service.

In-Store Social Gatherings
We host events at our store annually such as our Art Show and Sale in the spring and fall where we bring in hundreds of oil-on-canvas paintings from artists across the United State. In addition, in the spring and fall we typically have a jewelry trunk show as well featuring a new or current jewelry designer where they bring in additional pieces we may not typically carry in the store, as well as pieces from their new line that has not yet launched. Have you attended our amazing Holiday Open House before? We host it in November and at this time our store is packed with all the Christmas and holiday décor and gifts you can imagine! Follow us on Facebook or join our e-mail list to receive announcements of our special events and sales so that you will not miss out on the fun! Do you have a special event such as a club or organization meeting? Would you like to make it even more exiting and perhaps increase attendance by hosting it in conjunction with a shopping outing? We are more than happy to host your organization’s meeting, provide wine and appetizers, as well as offer a discount to your group or that a portion of the sales be donated to your organization or a non-profit of your choice. Let us help make your formal meeting a bit more fun!
